#Macaws
I love both macaws and prison jumpsuits.

Well what if the macaws get out of their enclosure at Discovery Place and start attacking you, answer that, smart guy.

Okay, so these are Eugenia Mello's scarlet macaws. I ❤️ them! #kidlit #birdart

"we have birds we promise" and it's the same singular species of flamingo, penguin, ostrich and peafowl. I love all of them too but is it too much to ask to be able to make a big walk-through exhibit of budgies? A big ol' pond with pelicans? Big aviary full of vultures or eagles or macaws?

OK folks no more parrots. We have to make to with the species we have because there is just not enough room in the type cabinets for any more new parrots (including cockatoos, lorikeets, macaws, and their friends).

Thank you.

I can heartily recommend working with @juliaallum.bsky.social

There’s something available for everyone, starting from very reasonably priced cards through to her creating something that’s bespoke and precisely right, such as the “live and live differently” macaws

Thanks! This one bird came in for every meal, though the rest of the macaws in the area had a long approach distance.

don’t be surprised if new homes come with cockatoos, macaws, or tortoises
since you’re making decisions about how and where your grandkids live, might as well choose their pets 🧵/2

My photos are certainly not on par with those possible from the Pantanal, but there are only two pairs of Hyacinth Macaws left in Paraguay, making these birds very special!
Well worth the trip to seek out these spectacular parrots whilst birding here!

This is not the baseball shirt I'm wearing in my profile pic, but it *could* be the baseball shirt you wear in your next profile pic.

Yüzbaşı Captain from Trench Crusade, The harpy looked weird without the details painted in but they were also a little fine for my clumsy hands (and my officially middle aged eyes). Oh well, looks fine at arms length. I based the feathers on Macaws and I'm pretty happy with that. #trenchcrusade

Love the times when Inko is so into his scritches he doesn't realise I'm petting the left side of his face or underneath his beak, both FORBIDDEN ZONES DO NOT TOUCH spots

Did you know parrots blush too? It's most visible in macaws and Greys, due to the light facial skin, but they all do

It seems likely that ancient Puebloans bred scarlet macaws in captivity in the SW... Everything lately keeps leading me back to reading more about Chaco Canyon.

A fact that may interest you: Conures and macaws are so closely related that science has basically no idea how to distinguish them from one another effectively. Conures very much have macaw personalities, they’re just smaller and easier to handle as a result (and only live for about 20-30 years!)

Progress made, but loopholes still remain for ING.

ING Bank took an important step in 2021 by pledging not to finance Amazon oil & gas trade flows from Ecuador and Peru — a move worth recognizing. It was also the first bank to have any kind of Amazon exclusion policy. 🎉
