Been using CDR's in past to get CDN$ exposure to US stocks mostly because it has been tracking closely the underlying. However I'm noticing that tracking error is getting significantly worse. Looking at some Mag7 YTD results.

Even to think about a government backstop, when their Mag7 sugar daddies, corporate officers and alums can pay for the buildout they want out of their personal fortunes, absolutely smacks of arrogance and disdain.

Investment grade. Credit-worthy borrowers like the Mag7 (except Tesla) tend to get better cheaper credit than less-worthy ones, where you can pay up to a 12, 13% coupon for private credit loans (as Musk and, in part, Oracle are paying).

The #AI bubble is 4x the 2008 housing bubble, it's 17x the Dotcom bubble. 0.1% of GDP growth for a year has NOT been the MAG7, who make up over 30% of the value of the stock market.

2025 is the modal year for boomers to hit 65, another way of saying the modal boomer was born in 1960. Thinking about how many Vanguard boomers own Mag7 stocks, you just know they'll add stocks to the Treasury QE that's already going on.

Right. Take out the Top 1% and take out the Mag7 companies (AAPL, GOOG, MSFT, META, TSLA, AMZN, NVDA)..., then measure the actual Economy. Those are the real numbers and they ARE NOT GOOD. It would also show how skewed the data is and it shows the real weak points. Which sectors are really strugglin

"Sure, there are indeed some stocks that are visibly overvalued… many of these valuations can be justified, some can't," he said. "I think the Mag7 can be justified on the pace of the growth that's ahead. Same, ultimately, with Palantir."

What would a bailout look like, even?
And again, why can't hyperscalers' CEOs and corporate officers backstop this with their massive personal fortunes first? Among the Mag7 and VCs, there's over $2 trillion in individual wealth.
That's the first question a rational market participant would ask.

IMO it depends if their need timeline, can they easily handle monthly amt invested, risk tolerance & the concentration. If their weighting is excessively Ai or Mag7 then it might be wise to diversify IMO. Don’t time the market but don’t keep your head in the sand.

🚨Is the AI BUBBLE bursting?
NVIDIA ERASED $440 BILLION in value on Thursday, the most since January’s DeepSeek concerns.
$NVDA market cap PLUNGED $700 BILLION in 3 days.
Mag7 stocks have fallen in 3 of the last 6 days.
Will there really be no federal bailout for AI — EVER?

Why would it need to be a bailout not just classic Keynesian fiscal response? Mag7 won’t go bust and the data centers will trade to their creditors, which unprofitable company would need bailout vs just chapter 11 to prevent broader economic breakdown ?
