Breast-sparing surgeries include : Lumpectomy, partial mastectomy & segmental mastectomy. In all of these surgeries, only a small part of the breast will be removed, sometimes along with adjacent lymphnodes. Breast-sparing surgerys are often paired with other treatments to prevent recurrence.

Always forget that ME/CFS can cause lymphnodes to hurt/swell until it happens. Dude, I dont need this shit on top of everything else.

How to examine the lymph nodes?

The study of the lymph nodes is done in two ways: puncture: using a special needle, biopsy: surgical removal of part of the lymph node.

That's interesting. As someone who has had a bunch of lymphnodes removed, maybe I should be considering this. (I already use nasal sprays and gargle with mouthwash if I feel like I've been somewhere where I could have been exposed.)

We're unfortunately back at it again-- our poor lil Casper has another obstruction. We're looking at a pretty expensive surgery at this point. They did also note there are some concerning lymphnodes as well, so they'll be taking some samples of them while he's under. Here's to hoping they're benign

That also explains the infection; lymphnodes also help fight those, so this is all around nasty.

Woke up a few hrs ago w/ a sore throat (painful to swallow) & it feel like it’s only on one side of my thoat. No fever. No congestion. No inflamed lymphnodes (which is weird, as there’s one on the same side as the pain that always hurts when I have a sore throat). I just want to go back to bed.

Our new pub is out in #ACSPharmacolTranslScience! Recent PhD grad Katerina Morgaenko showed how ex vivo lymph node cultures can be used to study invasion of breast cancer cells into the lymph node in response to chemokine signaling. #Immunoengineering #LymphNodes

Ex Vivo Model of Breast Cancer Cell Invasion in Live Lymph Node Tissue
Lymph nodes (LNs) are common sites of metastatic invasion in breast cancer, often preceding spread to distant organs and serving as key indicators of clinical disease progression. However, the mechani...

Yeah my lymphnodes in my side, the things that carry liquid from places in the body, died and liquids are pooling up in a large cavity.

They are increasing the drainings to keep it cleaner in hopes it kills the infection. On top of antibiotics.

Ultrasound scheduled. Please just let my lymphnodes be a little overactive and not something worse.

My melanoma has spread to 2 out of 3 lymphnodes. More crude to come.

#MedSky🧪 #cancerresearch #CellImmunity @cellpress The generation of anti-#tumorimmunity in the draining #lymphnodes is known as ‘the cancer immunity cycle’. Accumulating evidence supports the occurrence of such a cycle at tumor sites in the context of #chronicinflammation.

I was diagnosed with small lymphocytic lymphoma in 2023 right before Thanksgiving. My lymphnodes were swollen and I was having night sweats and other symptoms. The meds I was put on is working but the side effects are no fun.

Overall things seemed to go well! Blood work and bone marrow came back clear. The Pet/ct scan showed two very enlarged lymphnodes. So they have to do an ultrasound and another biopsy! Not to the treatment phase yet but it’s a step in the right direction! 😊

If a kid has had swollen #LymphNodes behind their ears for years, what type of doctor should they see? Is it an #ENT? Advice appreciated.

Well this day got worse quick.

Took dog for a follow up vet check.

Now it's ultrasound and some samples of her lymphnodes.

Didn't get better after a week.

Vet suspects cancer

Guess I went to Urgent Care yesterday just in the nick of time.

I look like a damn chipmunk. It looks like my cheeks are so swollen, but it's not my cheeks! It's my lymphnodes behind my cheeks.

I'm on a 7 day regimen of doxycycline and I can not wait for this shit to kick in and knock out […]

Gimme the weird PTA/Leo/Pynchon weirdness straight into my lymphnodes!

Also several lymphnodes were mentioned invincible my tonsils. If it is spinal I have less than a year (from what I've read) if I refuse treatment. And my old roommate had it beat it and died 2 years into medical school. Plus my crohn's disease complicates things.

I have no memory of the shots from 2021, but I got them written down. I'm glad I don't honestly, because spending a weak with hard, swollen lymphnodes that I can't have my arm against my body was hell enough just the once.
