Autumn arrives at 1119am this morning, and we celebrate this changing of the seasons!

It’s #apple harvest time on the #SaanichPeninsula, and has been for generations! Back in 1931, this harvest went in the "Vancouver Island Apples" bin.

On this #IndigenousVeteransDay, the #LogCabinMuseumAndArchives pays tribute to local veterans.

These 3 Underwood brothers signed up to serve - George was just 16!!

We honour these heroes and others in this #MonthOfRemembrance.

It’s a mystery for #MysteryMonday!

We had an item donated, but it came with a few theories as to what it actually is!

Let us know what you think.

It's:
(a) a hand-crank washing machine
(b) a hand-crank butter churner 🧈
(c) a hand-crank ice cream maker 🍦

#WorldMilkDay is an opportunity to celebrate dairy farming, production, and products, and the essential role they play in local/global #foodsecurity.

Alfred Few was a dairyman in #Saanich (c. early 1900s), later logging at Mt Newton #CSaan.
