The ‘exploration’ has already begun. For example:
The clear and stable majority in bona fide polls believe that ‘leaving the EU was a mistake’ must be wondering (“exploring quietly”) how to rectify it.
Greens, LibDems, SNP all explicitly discuss rejoining. Sounding out the public.

If Libdems think 25p off a pint or 75p off a bar meal is going to fix the hospitality sector they're sadly mistaken...... and history would suggest no ones printing new low priced temporary menus with new prices....

Lib Dems call for 5% VAT cut for pubs and restaurants
The party also wants to axe the renewables levy from bills, funded by a windfall tax on big banks.

And it's a cross-partisan malaise. Reform struggle to take formerly Tory councils any further right. Tories flirt w white supremacism, w Jenrick and Lam making Farage seem moderate. Starmer & his Klanface charades on immigration. Libdems all but MIA. Only sane+inspiring party seem to be the Greens.

Justin Webb seems to be taking the accusation the BBC is ‘too Left wing’ as green light for being even more of an smug, insufferable git while interviewing the LibDems than usual

Will this attempt to oust Starmer be coordinated with the attempt to oust Badenoch? Can we have some cross-party consensus here?
Time for the LibDems to demonstrate coalition thinking and offer to oust their leader as well.

Exactly. Tactical voting and inter-party cooperation will be hugely important next time. Only the LibDems can beat the right-wing parties in my constituency. Hopefully, Tories and ReformUK will cancel each other out.

The way things are looking at the moment, the only way to stop a future ReformUK government is either to force new leadership and a new direction onto Labour, or sideline them and rally behind the combined forces of LibDems and Greens in England and Wales.

The LibDems have a basic philosophy of equality for all and pragmatic policies to achieve that. They can heal the divisions in our country and bring stability with prosperity in a green and clean environment
Exactly what this country needs now.
Or we can rage on the extremes and destroy all.

Nah. Keep him. Maybe more MPs will decamp for Your Party, or at least the Greens. Of course, they could go to Reform, and that would suck. Nobody will go to the LibDems who are moribund.

And if you compore numbers of votes, rather than MPs, Reform had more than LibDems.
The voting system is corrupt.
And where do you get your stats aboard how many times LibDem was on TV?

There is always variation between polls that use different ways to sample & to poll. We won't know which is most accurate until a General Election.
It isn't worth speculating or being optimistic.
A poll of polls may give a clearer idea of trends e.g.

The most reliable estimate is likely to be a poll of polls:

also you should already know and ik it depends on where you live who you should vote for but across the country the greens are outpolling the libdems so libdems is a wasted vote unless youre in their target seats and labour...well its blue labour youd vote for as of now

ah ok so dont tell people what to vote if you dont actually know what the party stands for,
Unlike labour and libdems, Green Policy is voted by the members. 1 member 1 vote and NATO policy is to remain in NATO unless there is a european based alternative based on peace and diplomacy

... LibDems would fall between the enthusiasm for the first and the near-neutrality on the second. It's the party members who would have the final say given how the party is organised.

To my mind there's a split in UK politics now. (Broadly) neoliberal, (Reform, Tories, Labour), and, on the other side, (broadly) social democratic, (Greens, YP, SNP, Plaid Cymru, LibDems).
