Meh; I'm not sure that's entirely true. Marriage is largely a bundle of property, tax, and inheritance rights, so "it's about setting up the next generation" is relevant. But it's ahistorical to pretend that's *all* marriage has ever represented in law.

We could hire 1000s of judges to adjudicate them and provide lawyers to expedite them... but he would have to agree that anyone given status can never be hassled again.

If there were any appreciable numbers of actual *Radical Leftists* in USA, Bernard Sanders would have served We the People as POTUS in bare minimum 2017-2021 -

In the ideal, the officer would tell you immediately (as in it’s the law at they are required to). They should also have an agency issued badge clearly displayed on their person.

Haven't rewatched the series since I did the book, and it was hilarious to catch an Easter egg in the first episode: the dentist is named Dr. Zubatsky...and there's a key story in the book about "Mrs. Zubatsky's Law." If you don't know it, you should Google it...or better yet, go buy the book!
