I too, along with millions of other Uk citizens I would guess, would prefer welfare funding to increase and warfare to be slashed (to zero preferably!)

Yes, people might be getting bigger paypackets but, despite what the Chancellor says, pay rises are not keeping up with true inflation given the cost of mortgages and large increases in rent, council tax, energy, water, internet, transport and food costs among other things.
