It was just a few weeks ago that they spotlit the daughters of the garbage former owner (themselves still holding a small ownership stake) talking about how important it is that the Sens are affirming and inclusive for LGBTQ2S+ fans specifically.

Thank you for writing this. I have read it a few times. Our country has always vilified "the other", whether it is indigenous persons; women; LGBTQ2S persons; the poor; the mentally and physically different; non-caucasion persons; politically active individuals; and rural vs big city ideologies.

Several years ago the local LGBTQ2S+ came under new ownership. Eventually they became a full on anti-vaxx/Freedom Convoy club but before that they just got really aggressive with kicking people out.

The woman who groomed me, sexually assaulted me and stalked me for five years I later learned became a UMC pastor. A year ago she left UMC for the Global Methodists. So I guess in her mind that LGBTQ2S persons must be worse than her being a child rapist and stalker.

Hmmm. That is quite a label you give yourself. I have no problem with any part of it, but I confess, it becomes difficult to understand all the various terms that are possible in LGBTQ2S community. What I do see is the commonality that we are all human, regardless of how we identify. That’s key.

I have no problem with our tax dollars funding #HeatedRivalry . I just wished the people of Canada owned a bit of the profits so we could fund LGBTQ2S stuff. Or pay for lawyers to fight homophobic/transphobic Alberta.
