AI has the potential to revolutionize civilization and end the concept of labour scarcity, meaning humans would be freed from time & knowledge exchange for money. We could then pursue meaning, knowledge, wisdom...
Instead, AI is being used to take away meaning and chain humans to menial labour.

After 26 years of Labour failure, Wales needs new leadership.
Plaid Cymru is the only party with the vision, ambition, and plans to build a better future for our nation.
It’s time for a government who puts the needs of Wales first. It’s time for Plaid Cymru ✊

It would appear you have two corporatist parties in the US. Perhaps you need a Labour party or some such. (New Democratic Party is already taken).

Michael Heseltine was on something or other recently and two things struck me. One, Michael Heseltine is still alive. And two, he's starting to sound like someone the modern Labour party would purge for being too left wing.
UK politics are an absolute shitshow right now.

The Labour government has had since the 16th of April to save all this distress and confusion. It would take a simple amendment of primary legislation to get us back to the error made by the SC, and get us all back to the equal and respectful, legal regime that has worked without issues for decades

They're trying to force a form of digital ID onto our vets, basically, saying it'll help with homelessness. How? No one in the Labour party knows, it's all just vibes. It's completely optional for right now, but the fact that our government is even trying this is so gross to me.

Did not expect pretty much the only British institution to respond to bad faith attacks from the right by telling them to 'do one' would be the National Trust.
Further did not expect the BBC and Labour Party to see the strategy work near perfectly and then decide to completely ignore it.

I do find it ironic what a good job we did in helping draft the German Constitution and mechanisms for labour relations given the mess over here.

Labour didn't win the 2024 election (Starmer got fewer votes than Corbyn in his 2019 drubbing): rather the Tories lost it because their empty "stop the boats" posturing lost them the bigot vote to Reform.
(Plus affluent southern liberals no longer felt compelled to vote Tory to stop Corbyn.)

Now, yes, minerals being mined for solar panels are probably being mined without best practices in mind.
For both the ppl mining and the land itself.
This can be resolved though. Making sure there is no slave labour. That there are proper safety protocols and protective wear is worn.
But oil is

I’m no expert but I have a feeling Labour have always been tougher on immigration than the Tories. The Tories talk tough but don’t do much because they actually want high immigration to keep providing cheap labour, whilst at the same time creating a group of people to blame if things go wrong.
