Yeah here is am interview by her, and have heard her often. But Krugman and Furman have had their come to Jesus moment, I am not going to wait for her to see that. At this point in hindsight, lot of disruptions, but inflation was there a lot longer then they thought.

I think it was Krugman writing about Sanders's proposal to raise taxes on millionaires, when Sanders is himself a millionaire, who pointed out that that's actually the opposite of hypocrisy. There's not really a word for that sort of opposite of hypocrisy.

well, before covid, iirc, P Krugman said that the world needed a LOT more gov't spending, spending on the scale of WWII and therefore a Martian Invasion would be good, cause it would generate the needed amount of spending

but we can do fascist brutalist baroque debased megastructures too

@mikabry.bsky.social Thank you for replaying everything until I get to see it all. In tears after last segment with Ghiriardias (so?) with the 12/16 date. Same month Paul Krugman, after his NYRB lecture at the NY Public Library ended with “We may be doomed. Resist!”

I have said enough tweets where I've mentioned important books that were recommended by our great Newspapers. I'm happy to see Substack with the Contrarian, Paul Krugman, and The Bullwork. Keep up the great work. Still satisfied with the newspapers as well New Yorker & The Atlantic.

Sorry Krugman, I need to write one more tweet before the end of the year, so I've chosen you to be my victim. Yesterday in Iowa, there was a special election for a vacant state senate seat. The Democratic candidate, Renee Hardman, won by 43% in a district that Trump lost by 17%, making it a...1/

Paul Krugman argues Trump’s immigration policy isn’t about crime or jobs. It’s about power, fear, and blaming immigrants for everything that’s broken. The Chicago raids show the lie in action.

Yeah this is basically what Krugman says, he says it is uh “functional finance” or something
December 31, 2025 at 7:21 PM
yeah I was honestly surprised at the take. Krugman needs to come in and bop some heads, and he’s no MMTer
If you confidently predict that bond vigilantes will attack the world's most liquid financial market which also happens to be the world's most important reserve asset, as so many have done for so many decades, I'm going to ask you to show some work on what is changing here and now.

That said, I’m obviously not an economist or PhD.

There’s probably a lot more to it than I see.
