I've been listening to The Story of Art Without Men by Katy Hessel on Audible & there is a chapter on Japanese Ukiyo-e. including #KatsushikaŌi (1800-1866).The daughter of #KatsushikaHokusai (the Wave), she was wildly successful. I 💜 that she divorced her husband because his art wasn't good enough.
