USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins plans to make all SNAP recipients reapply and prove "that they literally are vulnerable and they can’t survive without it.”

The 'genuinely disabled'

The 'literally vulnerable'

They keep moving the goalposts.

They were never going to fund SNAP. It's eugenics:
Trump administration will require SNAP participants to reapply for benefits
Food aid recipients are already required to recertify their information regularly. But the move is part of USDA chief Brooke Rollins’ effort to overhaul the program.

Thank you KBJ for always showing us the truth

Top tier explainer today from @stevevladeck.bsky.social on what likely occurred with the SNAP case. It was not “referred” by Justice KBJ, to the full Court, as is the usual practice from a Circuit Justice. But instead it was “taken” by the full court.

Bonus 192: The Court vs. the Circuit Justice
Tuesday's ruling in the SNAP case appears to be the second example in seven months (and for quite some before that) of the full Supreme Court taking an application away from the circuit justice.

KBJ making herself crystal clear. Love to see it.

I was told KBJ was a master legal strategist
JUST IN: The US Supreme Court has extended a pause on the federal judge’s order that required USDA and the Trump administration to full fund SNAP

I don’t say things like this about judges often, but if you’re criticizing KBJ on appellate procedure, you better have some kind of qualifications beyond just being a poster
If you can’t count to five, please don’t jump into my replies telling me how you could have handled this better than Justice Jackson.

How badly do you think KBJ wants to [REDACTED] her colleagues
#BREAKING: Over a public dissent from Justice Jackson, #SCOTUS *extends* the temporary pause of the district court’s order that had mandated full SNAP payments for November—keeping that ruling (and those payments) on hold through the end of the day this Thursday:

Fascinating inside baseball. The omission of those seven words is easy to miss, but it points toward a sharp dispute behind the scenes—KBJ wanted to make it as clear as possible that she did not support extending this stay any further.
Indeed, the text of the order doesn’t include the usual “and by her referred to the Court.” So Jackson clearly got overruled here.
November 11, 2025 at 11:42 PM
In other words, the Court is trying to buy itself two more days to see if the House approves the shutdown deal (which may well moot this case), rather than having to rule *now* on whether USDA can be forced to fully fund SNAP for November. And KBJ objects because she’d just deny the application now.

For the all uneducated fools questioning KBJ

KBJ, probably: “I wonder if anyone will even notice.”

The Supreme Court won't halt Tremane Wood's execution. Only KBJ notes her dissent.

Prosecutors struck most Black jurors then lied at trial, concealing secret deals with witnesses. Wood's lawyer was on cocaine and barely met with him. His brother admitted to the killing but only got life in prison.

KBJ knew what she was doing.
NEW: The First Circuit Court of Appeals has denied the Trump admin's efforts to stop the release of full funding for November's SNAP benefits payments as ordered by a lower court judge.

The Supreme Court's administrative stay will now expire 48 hours after the 1st Circuit's ruling.

KBJ will someday be such a superb Chief Justice…
I cannot wait!🙏🏻
She is to the court what Chris Van Hollen is to the Senate….
Principled & uncompromising on that which cannot be compromised.

remember that times ms barred and boujee said I was having an unproductive conversation for taking offense to her "empathy" with KBJ? Yeah I think starving families for the ego of the fascists is "unproductive"

In this case, KBJ did the exact same thing first. We were told it was masterful strategy to speed up the payment of SNAP benefits.

I hope those dipshit pundits take a moment to reflect on the fact that it always helps Republicans to stay rulings against Trump. There's no secret strategy there.

Folks was going in on KBJ and yet again.
Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson just told us that the SNAP funds were indeed stolen without telling us. 🧐🤬🤔
