A beautiful sunny Catford #parkrun with the quickest time since March and 1st in age group; litter picking and fallen branch dragging (course check) before and unleashing my inner two year old with lessons from an actual two year old afterwards. #JogDivision #RunningPunks #GreenRunners

It was pacing week at Catford #parkrun, I had 3️⃣0️⃣ on my back and ran a couple of seconds under. Removing branches and litter from the course (course check) before. Running around and being silly with a two year old afterwards.

This week’s long run was a straightforward 16.5k through Greenwich Park, along the Thames and back through Charlton. A very even pace with a lovely, gentle rain from about half way. #GreenRunners #JogDivision #RunningPunks
An avenue of cherry trees which are a tourist attraction in the spring, provide much better autumn colours. The view from Greenwich Observatory - grass falling away towards the Queens House and Maritime Museum, behind that the Old Royal Naval College and the Thames, and at the rear the towers around Canary Wharf. Runner in neon pink inanely grinning at the camera, to his left is a small butterfly to his right the Gruffalo based on Julia Donaldson’s children’s book but painted here by @Alessandratortone Anchor and Hope wharf at low tide, there is compacted mud, sand and pebbles at the front. In the middle distance an abandoned jetty, at the foot of which is a decaying boat. Behind is the Thames with a couple of moored boats.

I seemed to wheeze all the way round Catford #parkrun this morning, but still managed my quickest time since March; 1st in both age group and ‘the most autumnal runner’ category.
