to advocate via framing, I —or those who most need the housing and qualify, unlike those who arrange these matters— might suggest "Must #InclusionaryHousing funding go to the most-needed and cost-effective housing?" (vs just to apartments in new, large, market-rate buildings, if and when any built?)

would you say any of the participants personally or professionally disagrees with with what's advocated, i.e. that ' #InclusionaryZoning' (a strategic misnomer, vs #InclusionaryHousing) must be funded by taxpayers? Seems like, in Lincoln-Douglas terms, "Must the expansion of slavery be stopped?"

Since Gray’s death & uprising, income boomed in mainly-white areas, stagnated elsewhere. The gap grew as 7000 luxury apartments were built in White L to lure affluent young white singles, none affordable. City waived mandates of old #InclusionaryHousing law. Reinforced separate & unequal. 2/

here's Portland's 2024-updated #InclusionaryHousing / #MULTE program: www.portland.gov/phb/multe. I'm curious, how do you think it avoids risk of overpaying? also, how would one determine whether it is overpaying? fyi news story on it: www.oregonlive.com/portland/202... #InclusionaryHousing

A good question! Since passage of City’s #InclusionaryHousing law this info should be included in all press releases & media articles—but rarely is (unless the project is built as 100% affordable).
Also, the City needs to get its #InclusionaryHousing dashboard up & running so info readily available.

they are because Blacks were actively prevented from living elsewhere. AND that this legacy is part of what #LongBeachCA is attempting to combat with the new #InclusionaryHousing policy
