Out today! Our newly-described bush tomato #Solanum nectarifolium appears to be the first species in the genus with extrafloral nectaries that are visible to the naked eye. And ants seem to love 'em.

My favorite part of this event is going into the internal research house to care for our solanums. It’s a bit like I’m a botanical animal in a zoo. “Please do not tap/bang on glass. It can stress and harm the botanist.”

Do you look at this and see at least 10 plant species? Then you are ready for #Plantsgiving 2025!

How many species will be served during your meal??? It ain't a competition, it's just about recognition.
