Amid growing polarization and ongoing global conflicts, this special session will explore the complex challenges faced by healthcare workers in conflict zones. Experts will address the impact of conflict on HIV service delivery and the broader implications for public health and the global HIV response. This session will provide an overview of HIV incidence and prevalence in conflict settings, highlighting how war affects treatment outcomes for people living with HIV, displaced populations and key populations.

This interactive 60-minute symposium will explore the necessity of system changes; emphasize the importance of women-centered care; and spotlight the crucial use of creative solutions and innovation to address health inequities, unmet needs, and stigma, from the unique perspectives of women. Our diverse panel of women, both subject matter experts and those with lived experiences, will discuss experiences, barriers and strategies to achieve the UNAIDS 2030 HIV prevention targets to end the HIV epidemic.
