Quick comment on automation. I'm sure FedEx's phone automation is fine. It probably successfully handles 70% of the calls it gets. But I totally lost my temper with it last night because it failed on my call.

Their human rep solved it easily in just a couple of minutes this morning. #HumansMatter

It's a rainy Saturday in New England.
Perfect time to read, or watch that Hope is still alive everywhere.
Don't care if it's foolish.

When AI mislabels serious situations, like charging a man with attempted murder while depicting him as carefree, it highlights the need for human oversight in handling sensitive content. Should we always keep humans in the loop for these topics? 🤔💔 #EthicalAI #HumansMatter LINK

Great advice, Kat. Thanks for your leadership in our global field. #accessibility #A11Y #AXSChat #HumanInclusion #WeAreBillionStrong #HumansMatter
A1. New services; engage & user test with disabled people! Existing services; review them often / monitor customer feedback and complaints and take action to fix things / continuously improve. Customers need different banking channels at diff times in their lifetime, not one accessible way #AXSChat
Q1 How can financial institutions ensure their products and services are accessible to all customers, including those with disabilities? #AXSChat #Accessibility

Love your points, Antonio. #Accessibility supports everyone, the financial institutions can service their customers better, take customers away from careless financial institutions and show the world that humans matter. #HumanInclusion #HumansMatter #A11Y #AXSChat #WeAreBillionStrong
A1: Financial institutions can ensure #accessibility by designing inclusive digital platforms, offering alternative communication channels, training staff in disability awareness & engaging people with disabilities in product development. Accessibility in #Fintech solutions is key. #AXSChat

A blind person w CP was left behind and died.

The story of the 92 yrs old in the Palisades who was left behind by a carer (and an ACTOR his neighbour went back to save him) made me so freaking angry.

But yeah- the rich and privileged. I am so mad.

Elevators are the first to stop in fires,so ho do people with mobility disabilities and wheelchair get out?
Molly Burke, blind influencer got out simply because she had her sighted partner home (see her tearful video on IG).

BUT, the fire destroyed an amputee father in Altadena who stayed with his son with CP while they waited for help to arrive.
The disabled community is often/always left behind in disasters if they are not ambulatory or do not have support on hand.

Some of my students at FSU looked at me weird and some were triggered when I spoke about emergency preparations for our k-12 students. Talking about active shooter and fire drills for students with multiple impairments often caused a stir.

Today, a CEO in the health insurance industry was murdered. He made $10.3 million in salary last year. Violence is ALWAYS wrong, but I fear more will happen if we do not stop the profiting off the pain of others. Affordable and accessible healthcare should be a basic right. #humansmatter
