Remember when #HepC treatment meant months of unpleasant side effects? Not any more.

While we have a cure, we are far from elimination. Rates of new infections are actually increasing due to the opioid epidemic. 2.4-4 million people in the US are estimated to be living with HepC. Only 1 in 3 of those diagnosed have actually been cured.

With the introduction of herpes- and HepC-ridden COVID monkeys, I've come to the realization that I'm actually gonna have to purchase that ‘Apocalypse’ bingo-card expansion pack.

I took today off work. Yesterday was the anniversary of my children’s father passing. We were married for 30 years. When he lost kidney function in his late teens, I helped him with in house hemodialysis. After 3 years he got a transplant. Then HepC diagnosis from tainted blood. I spent today crying

I learned today that Hep C is curable. Not just treatable but curable. And the scientists who found the cure won the Nobel Prize in 2020. This is incredible.
