Yeah, I’m grooving on these!! It’s a single glaze over that rich red stoneware.😍

A small plate in Pepperstone. I really love the automatic vintage vibe this glaze gives. So posh!

The cups were few in this firing, but I really love the minty metallic sheen this cup has.

Submitted a bug report because this skeet posted without alt text in 3rd photo. I have force alt text enabled in settings. Here is the corrected image with alt text.

Testing is a critical part of a ceramics practice! And so is learning to let go when something didn’t work.

Oh hello.

Here is Skull Vessel 4 for which i am most pleased. The bottom isn’t as blue as I imagined so i will experiment w/ some underglaze or a glaze underneath.

I’ll be doing more of these adding an art deco rib cage 🩻.

Materials used are in the alt text.

O hai, me again.

Skull Vessel 4.
I went with a fancy interlocking jaw and tongue lid.
For the glazing i used stuff I haven’t tried before, so this should be fun because who needs test tiles - not me. (lol)

O hai,

Here is Skull Vessel 3.

Was supposed to fade from orange to turquoise. I used a light flux to achieve drip, but it didn’t turn out as I expected (first time). Next time I’ll just do the fade manually with layers.

Materials used are in the alt text.

O hai

Trying out some more adventurous glazing. I typically just focus on underglaze, because i can safely predict the final results. But glazing is like alchemy, and the final results can be a surprise.

Here is skull vessel 2.
Orange to turquoise ombré.

The last few seconds of loading and firing my kiln and the first few after the kiln is cool enough to open.

O hai,

Been really sick for a month and getting a lot of rest. So my studio time has been limited and it’s driving me nuts.

Anywho, here’s what’s in the queue. Two skull vessels made with Red Sculpture Clay 108.

Doing some new, fancy glazing on these!
