Dec 10th is 200th anniversary of the birth of George MacDonald- the founding father of modern fantasy. A couple of pics I took of the handwritten MS of Sir Gibbie (pub.1879) he made so many revisions he could only use one side of the page because the ink bled through. #amwriting #HaikuAltText
This old book now rests In a locked case on cushions Once scarred by inked hand Pic shows a handwritten manuscript bound into book form. The author has only written on the right hand side pages and there are many revisions (crossings out, additions, corrections) to the text in red and black ink. The left hand side pages are blank but for the lines of scoring out bleeding through from revisions on the other side.
