Haven't done a #HHGR post on here in a while so let's do some catch up.

I've been working on some "stock art" for the characters cuz I didn't wanna keep showing our old height chart to people. Only sketches atm but they'll be rendered soon.

Plus a new character concept I thought was really funny.

For the Hazbin rewrite Cy and I are doing, I think one of the best decisions we came to was replacing Rosey and the cannibal army with Blitz and IMP. That's something that's super disappointing about hh/hb as is is that there's no connection between the two.

For another redesign in the works for #HHGrandReopening we got the joybringing angel Emily! I just wanted an excuse to draw frizzy hair and I think this might be my favorite redesign so far!
Sketches for a redesign of the Hazbin Hotel character, Emily. She wears a more regal dress with her Halo resembling a crown. She now has a nose, darker skin and short frizzy hair tied up in a braided crown. She also has an extra set of wings on her lower back.

Posting #HHGrandReopening redesigns when everyone's still asleep.

Here's a Lute redesign including masked and unmasked. This also doubles as the uniform for air soldiers.

Since they fly at high speeds, I made their uniform skin tight bodysuits to produce as little drag as possible.

Her hair was changed to a side cut with the left side of her haircut completely shaved off. There is also a variant of her masked, with the mask having a face resembling Hazbin's Imp design including two striped ram-like horns, only with a completely black face, one white eye and no mouth. The other eye is crossed out.

It's 1 am. Time to post more #HHGrandReopening stuff.

The B-plot in "Overture" is now a full episode in our rewrite called "Advertizer Friendly". Half succubus half imp Robbie seizes an opportunity to direct the commercial for the hotel and soon learns how... dysfunctional the main group is.
A sketch for our rewrite of Hazbin Hotel. It's a scene depicting imp/succubus hybrid Robbie sitting cross legged in a director's chair holding a megaphone making a grimacing face. Sam, another imp character, is next to her manning the camera and boom mic which he has wrapped around his tail. They are filming the bar in the hotel, Husk looking with fury at Angel Dust, splayed across the bar table.

hi! This is me and @thespongemagic.bsky.social 's intrepid project of rewriting hazbin hotel! its a complete rewrite from the ground up, taking the basic lore and characters and reconstructing a new plot and universe. I hope you guys enjoy whatever comes out of this! (alt text for short bios)
A logo of the rewrite: HAZBIN HOTEL | THE GRAND REOPENING A height chart from tallest to shortest of the cast of the Hazbin Hotel Rewrite. Angel Dust is a white and pink spider guy with 4 legs and 4 arms, his fluffy spider chest is bursting out of his pink and white striped suit jacket and he wears a "metal ring collar". In this iteration he also has a spider 'tail', actually a Spider's abdomen but we don't fret that too much. He is mostly unchanged personality wise from canon. Alastor is a half deer demon man with a bowler hat and his iconic red striped suit jacket. He is digitigrade now and has a deer nose and black hair with a greying stripe. He is similar as mysterious as he is in canon. Charlie is the least changed of the group, only gaining sheep ears and a shorter hairstyle compared to canon. She is the naive and optimistic owner of the Hazbin Hotel and her.... unorthodox ways of rehabilitating sinners leads to much misfortune. Husk barely resembles his canon design, being a fat cat with a fedora and long bear claws. He wears a red shirt emblazoned with his name and the Hazbin Hotel logo on it, and over it are his overalls. He looks a bit like grumpy cat now. Vaggie now wears the same shirt as Husk being an employee of the hotel, and dresses more masculine with fingerless gloves and combat boots. She is stocky but muscular and she has a carabiner on her belt. Niffty is the shortest, wearing the same shirt as the others over a 60s housewife skirt. Her arms and legs have hair on them and she has antenna. Sam and Robbie, the two newest Hazbin Hotel employees, wearing the same staff shirt as the others. Sam is a purple-red imp of indeterminate gender with glasses and freckles. They have a blunt in hand and long black curly hair with greying streaks throughout. Robbie is a red imp/succubus hybrid who is heavyset compared to Sam's lean build. She wears the same staff shirt with red jeans and has a bandanna around her head to hold back her long curly hair. She has a mole and looks annoyed at having to be the cleanup crew for Charlie.

Husk and Angel Dust shaking hands in a similar manner to Ryu and Cyclops in X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Our character Poppy, a rabbit looking demon with a slim build, wings and horns, sneering and looking up at Angel Dust who's hands are crossed. Charlie running pointing somewhere, dragging Vaggie along with her. A redesign for an exorcist private. Their mouth was removed and the X on their eye acts as a reticle.
