HCAI panel is kicking off with some amazing speakers. First question is (roughly) how do we think about integrating values into AI development given the different development paces of industry and academia

🤦 Reporting of England's HCAI doesn't include COVID-19 HCAI.
🤷 This leaves a critical gap: the most pervasive healthcare-associated infection isn’t counted as one.
🔊 Tracking of hospital-acquired COVID infections is essential for accountability and prevention.

UKHSA’s HCAI reports exclude COVID-19 HCAI - there’s no dedicated public tracker for hospital-acquired COVID.
A critical gap: the most pervasive healthcare-associated infection isn’t counted as one. For patients, families, & staff, that’s not just a data issue, it’s surely a health and safety issue?
