Our 12yo determined that her current favorite animal, the jerboa, go on our pumpkin this year. But talk about a cool Golgi pumpkin! Following convention, it looks like cis- is down.

TM9SF3 is a Golgi-resident ATG8-binding protein essential for Golgi-selective autophagy
Yang et al. identify TM9SF3 as a Golgi-resident receptor essential for selective autophagy of the Golgi (Golgiphagy). TM9SF3 binds ATG8 proteins via its LIR motifs and controls the degradation of Golg...

(POV mains) Elara, Toren, Kaili, Ben, Capt Mclellan,(Non POV secondary) The Rec, Caul, Alex, Dr. Golgi. (Tertiary) Various.

7 central. Alex and Doc are not central but essential with tertiaries making up numbers.

Mostly set on one ship, so usually together in some combo. But not always.
Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters

How many core characters does your story have?

How many of your cast would you consider central to the story, not side characters?

Are they usually together or does the story have multiple locations at once?

Nice preprint from Mondira Kundu lab! Glucose starvation blocks SEC24C-dependent ER-to-Golgi export of some proteins like E-cadherin, reshaping the surface proteome - via AMPK-ULK1-Sec31A signalling. Controls cell migration and metastasis under nutrient stress.

Homing and feral pigeons differ in hippocampal formation neuron size: a Golgi study - Brain Structure and Function
Artificial selection for behavioural traits can significantly affect the anatomy of brain regions related to the behaviour under selection. The homing pigeon (Columba livia) is a prime example of how ...

I painted a Golgi Apparatus. It is perhaps not my finest work, but some neuroscientist will appreciate it 😊 #sciart

Feral and homing pigeons differ greatly in hippocampal neuron density, so we asked, are there are also differences in neuron size and morphology. We used high resolution slide scanning of Golgi stained sections and digitally reconstructed neurons from both breeds.
