I obviously hate the power structure around male power and patriarchy. I also know and am close to so many good men, of all assignations of birth. The men I keep in my life all have a gentleness and nurturing aspect to them. So when I think about male eroticism, it’s about vulnerability, to me.

I think GdT had an optimistic take on the Monster which is why I don't mind that he made Elizabeth a main character and emphasized love and gentleness between them, but I think the Victor/creature bond was de-emphasized as a result which is kind of a shame.
