A recent visitor to the moth light in a coastal area 150km north of Perth.

This beautiful moth is one of the Curved Horn moths (Superfamily Gelechioidea), possibly Corynotricha trimeris or an undescribed species in that genus

I am by no means a Lepidoptera expert. However, they both belong to the Gelechioidea superfamily. Although it seems that super family is a bit of a mess.

Phylogenetic tree of lepidopteran superfamilies, based on increased taxon sampling, reveals some new sister relationships with strong supports (Papilionoidea is sister to Gelechioidea, Immoidea is sister to Galacticoidea, and Pyraloidea is sister to Hyblaeoidea, respectively).
