#GDScript
It’s excellent. I’m thrilled they even have the good manners to include code samples in GDScript and C# right there in the same page. I can just follow the same docs in my chosen language.

1. Yesterdays #GodotFest recodings are already on youtube. Wow, this is sonic speed!
2. Brilliant www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVLz...
when it comes to coding for @godotengine.org GDScript, C# and C++ @jetbrains-rider.bsky.social is a great tool.
3. Impressed with the @godot-rust.bsky.social community.

gotta learn how to modify gdscript
November 12, 2025 at 2:12 AM
godot tip: 4.5 adds a new export option for toggling groups (which you may have seen for some built-in nodes), but it is indeed possible to access it through GDScript using export_custom! #godot #indiedev #gamedev

i dont like GDScript

Godot: open source. large, supportive, vocal online community. There seems to be a genuine desire to make the best indie scale game engine. limits your options for shipping platforms. basically the gamedev equivalent of veganism.
C++ / GDscript. patchy / 2nd tier C# support.

How does #JetBrains Rider work? Matt Ellis will show us how @jetbrains.com made it easy to debug C# and GDScript, how inspections and code completion are made, and tell the story of adding unit testing with GDUnit. We’re proud to have them as supporters of #GodotFest 2025!

- write calibration routine to map logfile coordinates to map coordinates
- sync and fuse SSE/OSC data to provide simpler APIs

and now i can write not-entirely-horrible await-based control sequences in GDScript

On my #Godot wishlist, I think it'd be nice to be able to define UID's in a GDScript file, like @uid(example_uid_here) at the top. It would save tracking a loose file and keep all the advantages of UIDs imo.

legitimately just ported a function from godot's source code into gdscript because i was too lazy to make a function that synchronized an input vector.

#gamedev I have been itching to make a game in Godot, does anyone have recommendations on courses for GDScript and/or Godot as a whole? Thanks!

Is there a gdscript interpreter/compiler outside of godot's context?

Mainframe from Diadem Station. I suppose they must have multiple mobile bodies to perform tasks with. (I do like that trope, don't I) #itchio #mygame #godot #gdscript #pixelart #robot #spooky

gonna write my next program in gdscript just to spite you
November 7, 2025 at 9:19 PM
Personalmente me parece más sencillo usar unreal engine aunque si la finalidad es aprender a programar y no entender solo la lógica mediante blueprints y cajitas entonces si que gdscript si me parece mejor.

I used gdscript!
November 7, 2025 at 2:26 PM
woah that is so cool!! did you use GDScript or C# (or even C++ with the extension thingies I forgot the name of?)
November 7, 2025 at 9:25 AM
Blender Geometry Nodes is much much faster at this than my GDScript version. In Blender, I can push 1000 particles at 30-50 ms per simulation frame. Not too shabby.

the idea of being able to turn my VN into anything with ease is a big appeal of Godot, and GDScript isn't that different from Python even with my pithy knowledge of it
November 7, 2025 at 12:39 AM
I think it's very enjoyable to use, but I've been programming for a while. GDScript (its main language) is basically like Python, though it supports C# as well. It's a lightweight engine compared to Unity or Unreal.
