If you are ever in a situation where a fuse is blown and demons are going to kill you or something if you can't get the lights back on, you don't need to find a fuse! Fuses are not active components of a circuit. They don't add anything the circuit needs to function. They're a failsafe, all they do is break the circuit if the current goes out of spec, and listen, electrical safety codes are not important at this moment!! Just grab any conductor you can find. A bolt. A screwdriver. A key. A bundle of fucking paperclips. Get the electricity back on, kill the demons or whatever, and then go to Home Depot and buy the correct fuse. This has been a message from your local dude who knows about electricity but is not a qualified electrician for obvious reasons."

Our fridge just blew up. Well kept blowing the fuse. I’ve been telling him it was not working properly for months. But what would I know. Luckily able to get the new one I wanted (more or less) delivered tomorrow. And we have a separate freezer I managed to squish the frozen stuff into.

I had a housemate like you. She got so pissed off with one of our housemates having an electric heater when he wasn't supposed to, she took the 9A fuse out the plug, asked the electronics workshop at uni to help her blow it and in the interim, replaced the 9A fuse with a 3A one.
