Time for week 2 of Funguary, here's my next piece! The Amethyst Deceiver.
You can probably tell what character influenced this design. I decided to go for a more regal, ojou-like outfit that better fits in with the Fairy Tale theme this week.

A bipedal monster with a white, scaled body. Multiple dark purple, almost black, heads sprout form its shoulders, with five pink primary pairs of eyes following the length of the center neck. Its forelimbs are large and bulky with five claws while its hindlimbs are digitigrade and nimble. Its tail is flexible and paddle-like in shape, also dark purple in color. Both the tail and various heads are covered in iridescent purple to orange scales.

My idea is that she's a slowly-melting forest spirit searching for someone to help her, but her melting flesh decays anything it touches, so everyone who tries to help is doomed to share her fate.

Week 1 of #funguary2026. Was handling an Inky cap. It was really fun and will probably be the only digital piece for this season of funguary.

So, theme is decay and used Inky cap for it. This one with started with a sketch in a sketchbook and mapping colors in ink. When first deciding what to do for it. The concept was very simple just a rib cage showing. However, couldn’t decide what inky cap to do. So settled for a happy medium and this was the result. The rib cage harness and butterfly collar are quite a pair. Where actually my favorite to render. Have done many inky caps. But, this one by far may be the favorite.

Art Note 1 : My first mushroom for funguary, and I may have fumbled on the theme since, yes I followed the mushroom suggestion but the theme was decay lol. I may have indulged myself too much since when I looked at this mushroom all I thought was “haha, It's a cage” and I drew the character so nicely that there was no decay at all lmao. Reference photo! Art note 2: Anyway, I tried doing rendering with nomad sculpt instead of voxel max and I might do it more in the future. For now, Idk if I’ll make all my fungurary art all 3d (I’ll probably do some other styles) but its a gud start!
