I had a very nice harvest of compact bush beans. They seem to have stopped now -- any chance they'll flower again for another crop? We have good sun for awhile yet.

So many snap peas! I've been having these with hummus for lunch, and the lettuce is doing so well I can't keep up with picking it! The beets, carrots, rainbow chard, and onions are taking off. Now that gopher #2 is dead I can put in potatoes. #foodgardening #homesteading #gardensky #selfsufficiency

Only had about an hour in the garden today so I planted 75 yellow onion sets, the green onion starts I grew from seed, 5 green onions I regrew from bottoms I found in the trash, and a rue plant. Plus I weeded around the peas. #gardensky #homesteading #survival #foodgardening #selfsufficiency

one of the first sugar snap pea flower buds of the year Calendula and white horehound seeds starting to sprout in small pots. A pot packed full of dozens of dill plant seedlings. It was old seed, I didn't think any of it would sprout! The lettuce and salad greens mix sown thickly last November is quickly turning into a riot of small chartreuse and red leaves.
