The birdsong this morning was beautiful. Merlin identified the birds for me European Robin Song Thrush (was particularly beautiful) Eurasian Jackdaw Common Chiffchaff Common Magpie Common Chaffinch Also, not seen on this list, Great Tit Holyrood Park near Arthur Seat. Tree surgeons use hydraulics to lift the sliced trunk elm, that was felled two days ago, onto a trailer attached to a tractor. The tree was diseased, Dutch Elm. I hope the woodpecker I heard here didn't live in this tree Wall art at the Steps off Montrose Terrace to W. Norton Place. Fist Full of Arseholes has been carved in the cement next to a circular mosaic. It must have been carved the 90's as I seem to remember that band name back then.
