I'm sharing the first lines from Jane Anderson's new historical fiction novel, The Orchid Hunter's Daughter, which is due out next week. I'll have my review as part of the book tour on publication day next week. I'm excited to be going to the book launch on Tuesday too at The Edinburgh Bookshop. There had been no piano music in this house since Mama died; Papa and I had been unable to bear it.
