These juvenile salmon have narrow, oval-shaped parr marks that are centred on the side of the fish. They often have white & black leading edges on their dorsal & anal fins. Fins can have an orange tint, & anal fins have a sickle shape.

Spotted this tiny legend while out doing field work, a western pygmy possum. These tiny marsupials play an important ecological role and are a testament to the biodiversity still persisting in our semi-arid systems. #FieldworkFinds #WesternPygmyPossum #WildOz

A secluded meeting space deep in the forests of Nagaland within the Pulie Badze Wildlife Sanctuary.

I was so so excited to come across this while heading back after a collection trip back in 2021, although it was during an unplanned detour !
