This week's #FermentationFun was going to be quinoa rejuvelac (thenaturallivingsite.com/remedies/how...), but, um, I chose not to torture anymore myself with the smell 🤢 and it got tossed before the end of the soak. Time to find a new experiment for next week!

Well, the yeast is definitely alive now! Fermentation wasn't starting so I pitched another 9 grams of yeast and put her in a hot water bath last night. Raised the temperature to mid-80s and there she goes!

My water kefir grains are not just surviving, but thriving! They have already multiplied in the past couple weeks!

They'll have a week of hibernation while I'm traveling, but when I get back I'll be experimenting with water sources and sugar types!

"Wine" usually means grapes, but it can be any fermented fruit! Let's make some lemon wine!
