Why you may not receive your #FedEx package.

Now they started digging under the truck that's barely hanging on for dear life. What's happening? Does FedEx not insure their trucks? Why not call professionals?

FedEx: Your package will be delivered between 10:30-2:30pm.

FedEx: Your package will be delivered by end of day.

FedEx: We might deliver it one day, but it won’t be today.

Oh no! The sudden noises outside weren't for nothing. The FedEx truck fell into the ditch. On a totally normal, dry day with no water, snow or ice on the ground. I drive up that hill every day and I don't get it. How did they do that?

A new Harvard study—the first large-scale comparison of Amazon, UPS & FedEx drivers—shows what worker power really means:

🔴 Amazon: ~$19/hr, no raises, high turnover.
🟢 UPS (union): ~$35/hr, steady wage growth, long careers.

Same job. Different power.

A new report from the offices of the NYC Comptroller and Councilmember Tiffany Caban shows that crashes near FedEx and Amazon warehouses and similar facilities have jumped up.

The report also shows that injuries at last mile facilities are more than 3x the national average for private employers.

i have a bday dinner to go to tonight BUT i have to pick up my meds AND my wine advent calendar from the FedEx store bc they would have charged me $30 for redelivery if no one was there to sign with a valid ID 🙂🔫

The small truck has a long trailer in the back. Seems they will try to somehow pull the FedEx one onto it somehow. This does not look promising. When they tried to move it last night, it just slid further down.

heard a knock at the door earlier, thought it might be FedEx but didn't see a truck, and we had the interior door open because it's a nice day, so I come around the corner and there's a cop on my steps, plain clothes but badge on the belt.

True story: I once saw a UPS driver taunting a FedEx driver for running with a heavy package, telling him he wouldn't have to risk injury rushing like that if he was in a union.

Now there are two cars and another FedEx truck and zero tow trucks. They closed off the whole road. I don't think they know what they're doing. They tied the truck to the trees up the hill across the road. Idk how solid those trees are.
November 15, 2025 at 10:55 PM
So the side of the truck is tied to a tree across the road. The front to the trailer hitch. Now they're trying to tie its rear left corner to the other FedEx truck they parked on the road, from the left side. I think the solution to this physics problem has not quite been within their reach.

One thing that came out in this saga is that it's not a coincidence this involves a FedEx truck. It's a consequence of their whole business model (read the replies in the thread). When UPS found themselves in a similar situation at the same location before, they handled it very professionally.
November 16, 2025 at 7:21 PM
They dug some more. Now they're tying the truck to the other FedEx truck which will try to tow it up the road while backing up. I'm not too hopeful. I still cannot explain the insistence on not calling professionals here. Gotta be some liability issue, which might become even worse any time now.
November 16, 2025 at 12:18 AM
It's starting. They're using the trailer to get traction on the tire that's up in the air.

the only plus side is that the store I order them from has clearly made some sort of demonic pact with fedex, cuz I placed the order on the 13th and it will be delivered today
November 17, 2025 at 3:55 PM
I wanna mask up, but I don't out of fear. People around here legitimately crash out and get violent towards folks doing it. Had some dude at FedEx print shop when I worked there blow up and me and my coworkers when I was back FROM HAVING COVID and I was REQUIRED to wear one for at least that first
November 16, 2025 at 5:06 AM
Ok they came back with one of the same pickup trucks yesterday, instead of a tow truck. Possibly no lessons learned. Hopefully they're just waiting for it to arrive.
