Some progress from the weekend. Forte's error recovery and extensibility models are now extremely overpowered.

looked into it, codex-cli switched to Rust because:
1. static binary / easy distribution
2. easier OS-level security controls
3. perf
4. extensibility — they want to introduce wire-level extensions that can be written in a variety of languages

This framework builds on the cryptographic foundation for trust in the ATProtocol ecosystem. By keeping the core spec minimal while allowing application-level extensibility, we get both security and flexibility. Applications can define their own attestation types and semantics.

What you’re looking for isn’t simplicity, it’s graceful extensibility. A system that’s gracefully extensible can be modified to fit the new conditions it finds itself in. Not only that, but it can be modified continuously over time without hitting a wall.

what about creating a meta EIP on this? Tbh I don't have the solution to what would be the best unbiased approach but my experience with Vyper & Cairo taught me that camelCase is not future-proof: https://docs.openzeppelin.com/contracts-cairo/0.6.1/extensibility#function_names_and_coding_style

While web components are universal, framework-specific components like RSCs enable advanced features such as SSR and SSG. They also allow developers to create custom implementations using provided APIs, maximizing flexibility and extensibility.

Does the SAP Store applications have a way to tell you what the solution is built on top of to understand extensibility? Looked at SAP Project and Resource Management and can't tell if it's CAP or what? Did notice they use BAPI's to back-end which I guess SAP is allowed to do ignoring clean core?

Also, look! It seems like I’ve been pronouncing it the right way, at least per Wikipedia? And the origins of the name explain a lot.

These domains are in some sense structurally analogous to mathematics, offering an array of ramifying options that must be progressively uncovered by traversing their precursors, and promising at least the appearance of indefinite extensibility. They are thereby means as well as ends.

Goodbye to an Open-Source Icon For years, Mozilla Firefox has been a staple in the browsing world, particularly among Linux users and open-source advocates. Known for its commitment to privacy, extensibility, and alignment with free software principles, Firefox was once the browser of choice for tech-savvy users who valued transparency over convenience. But times have changed — and not for the better.

Lopecode is aiming for software immortality, your notebooks cannot break because they are standards based browser interpretable and include their means-of-production in a single file. Currently the authoring of Notebook 2.0 is in an app so language extensibility looks difficult (early days tho).

oh god people are making discourse about the false dichotomy between extensibility and openness vs security and UX because both OSS and commercial operating systems are developed with the expectation that their users adopt their ideals and the result is said OSes becoming topics in political debate
a lot of people are really determined to forget how wildly hostile the internet was before locked down OSes, aggressive sandboxing, mandatory-ish codesigning, forced security updates, etc got malware somewhat under control
