#EpsilonLyrae
#EpsilonLyrae, also known as the #DoubleDoublestar, is full of surprises. With binoculars, what appears as 1 star to the unaided eye turns into 2. In a telescope, each star in that pair resolves into 2 again, making 4 stars. And then astronomers detected a 5th star. 🌌🔭

Epsilon Lyrae ⭐️⭐️ #stars

This is the so-called “1st Light” with my new smart telescope—and also the very first automatically captured astrophoto of my life! Taken just yesterday through veil clouds, I gave it a gentle post-processing touch to enhance the viewing experience. 🔭🤖

Double stars aren't great with imaging systems - the stars quickly oversaturate and stacking fails when you drop the exposure down. However video mode can treat the stars as a "planet" and in some instances videostacks do a passible capture... #EpsilonLyrae #DoubleDouble #astrophotography #astro
