the Einherjar, the fallen warriors also tasked as the warriors of the gods. They also have factions: the Aesir are the ones everyone thinks about, but there are also the Vanir, who have their own warrior's afterlife. and there are Jotun celestials.

Agreed! (As much as I loved looking stuff up on Gamefaqs)
My fixes would be: more context clues in dialogue via the bosses you face and in the Divine periods between chapters, etc.
Also probably some balance fixes to make all the einherjar more viable.

I was only able to to like 4 crystals worth of playthrough. I always wanted to get Rufus and Silmeria maxed out with all the einherjar release gems

Et il semble que c'est à chaque fois : découverte d'un Einherjar, puis réussir à le convaincre en suivant ses traces, puis aller battre un boss. Le tout en se défaisant des poches d'ennemis à intervalle régulier.

La seule chose sur laquelle je suis à peu sûre c'est que Hilde a zéro backstory, et que côté Einherjar, le gros se trouve dans un audiolog. Pas de thunes pour développer tout ça proprement.
PS : le character design(Yuya Nagai) est très beau, mais en 3D c'est ok tier

We have a mermaid priestess character, the character you are outright stuck with, characters related to the creepy wizard who is super important, an outright dragon character and....Bowlcut McCharacter is the most important Einherjar to unlock the ending.

Personally, VP2 is probably one of the most beautiful PS2 games, especially in the environmental zones. I will also admit that I can't remember much of it beyond the first few dungeons, it took big swings with the plot but basically dropped Einherjar from the game which were the best part of VP1.
