my most recent #dwarffortress playthrough, where barely anything happened and i just got a satisfied king, has a strange mood dwarf who has yet to finish her magnum opus for over 3 in-game years. she just... keeps wanting cloth. more cloth. not yet enough cloth. not yet enough cloth. not yet enoug
a drawing of my dwarf, "Arachne" Crewquake, working in threadbare clothes at a craftsdwarf station under the effects of possession. she works to her bone on an abstract object, built off of a cinnibar boulder, spiked with stray yak bull bone, and plated with hematite and iron. notably, the object is obscured by a mass of cloth. Stacks of cloth surround her higher, yet higher. The possessor controlling her demands more, more, more cloth, and so she obliges. a depiction of Arachne at her station, muttering about her masterpiece needing more cloth, while cloth surrounds her by the literal hundreds. An overview of Arachne's character. a dark-skinned woman with long, braided hair and a thick unibrow. She is carrying yet more wool cloth. she thinks "Be merry!" while swarmed by dejected, lonely, self-pitying thoughts.
