Mockler: Who started this new era of divisive politics? Was it Obama? Was it Biden? It was definitely trump. Trump's claim to fame in the political arena was saying that Obama's birth certificate was fake.

'Deliver Me From Nowhere' is a divisive movie about a divisive album — adding a new chapter to a debate that's been raging since the Eighties.

The sick irony of pasting their logo over a symbol of remembrance for people who fought and died to prevent the very kind of divisive, hate-driven intolerance they promote.

"oh gee why can't you all just get along, stop being divisive"

I'm sorry are you Jon Stewart on Crossfire twenty years ago? Or do you want to come back to this planet in the year 2025? The overwhelming gripe is people think you're spineless, not that your DW-NOMINATE score isn't bipartisan enough

No single US news source is consumed by more than 25% of Americans, whereas 60% of Brits regularly watch/read/listen to the BBC.

A single shared source of truth makes it harder for partisan echo chambers to form, or for divisive narratives to dominate. It’s good for social cohesion and compromise.

I saw non-Natives online complaining about how 'divisive' it is to have a separate day for Indigenous veterans. As-if it's the 'day' that's divisive... not the 70-80 years of discrimination against Native vets. 2

I've yet to figure out why people thought Obama was so divisive ... other than committing the unforgivable crime of being president while black.🤷‍♀️

This is what the right does. I know bcuz I used to do some of it as well back in my divisive right wing asshole days. It’s all about spreading fear among the MAGA base. Fear of brown people, black people, and Muslims. It’s all about scaring them. It’s just so damn wrong.
Tuberville: “We just saw what happened in NY. We lost NY. It will be completely Muslim in 3-4 years. That’s what they want. And it’s going to spread throughout the country.”

I’m old enough to remember when the “gEt pOLiTicS oUt oF fOoTbAll” crowd was yapping about players speaking their minds and now I’m supposed to be excited that the most divisive man in America is talking Xs and Os? 🤦🏼‍♀️

OPINION: "I have noticed a gradual increase in the disconnect between what takes place in the classroom and public perception. This shift has culminated in a wave of legislation aimed at prohibiting college professors from promoting or endorsing so-called 'divisive concepts,'" Barranco writes.
Opinion | The Difference Between Teaching and Endorsing
Raymond Barranco writes that teaching is about exposing new ideas to students and that introducing an idea is not an endorsement of that idea.

Aesthetically, tho, if I were to ever go for an eye mod?

Sclera tattooed black.

I know it's divisive, but always thought this looked baddass. Particularly with dark irises.

(Note: I am not going to do this.)

Radical woke leftists need to tone down the divisive hateful rhetoric that we hear from them daily.

Liberals could learn A LOT from conservatives about respect, decorum, decency, and integrity.

-Shaky but intriguing beginning
-A core cast of characters everyone has a fave of despite some problematic elements
-Story line involving a train
-Long and brutally tragic flashback arc
-Fans making the comments section of an old hit song incomprehensible to outsiders
-A divisive conclusion

Jim, do yourself a favor, go look in the mirror. Stare at that smug face and repeat your first line 500 times.

You’ve been in Congress damn near 19 years, cashing $170K a year plus perks, and for what? Endless partisan hearings, 0 results. Just partisan, divisive nonsense on the taxpayer’s dime.

Our current “president” doesn’t think of himself as president. He thinks of himself as dictator. He is super divisive. Thus, he represents only himself and those who say and do as he wishes. So, Gavin Newsom is going to stand as a surrogate. Good. Maybe the world will see some hope for us.

Susan Hall shared a video tweet by Melanie Phillips. In it, Phillips wrongly claims London has undergone Islamification. Her suggestions about the damage a Mamdani win might do to New York and the USA are scaremongering racism and Islamophobia. This is divisive and dangerous conduct from Hall.
