Nope. You can only sue the sovereign on grounds it allows you to, and the FTCA explicitly excludes defamation and tortious interference with contract as permissible grounds to sue the federal government.

Karoline Leavitt has announced that Donald Trump has done nothing wrong. Finally! Now Trump can rest assured that his place in heaven is secure. He will surely file suit for defamation against all the Democrats and the media outlets that have impugned his impeccable character.

Sorry, but how can you defame Trump? He's been self-defaming for his entire life. Trump suing for defamation is a contradiction in terms. And wasn't he impeached for a 2nd time for incitement of insurrection? So, sure, the BBC messed up, but ffs.....

For the purposes of both future defamation suits, and because I frankly think he wrote some excellent singles, let me make clear that to my knowledge Mr. Joel is in no way implicated in any crimes or misdeeds

Also people will leak, someone will come forward, the Democrats will start hearings on it in 2026, a foreign government or lawsuits in a foreign government could pick it up, someone runs a defamation defense and it gets to discovery...

You could do it, but it would get into areas of 1st amendment litigation I've never been comfortable with, specifically questioning editors and reporters about the rationales behind specific editorial decisions. In any case, they could plausibly claim they didn't publish to avoid defamation suits.

When has divine providence been gifted to a a convicted felon, a person facing nearly a billion dollars in fines for defamation, one who stole from his own charities, an adulterer, a suspected pedophile and sexual abuser and now a murderer, killing anyone on a boat in the Caribbean.
When?

You may be allowed to change your opinions, but you also have to remember the damage you have done. Perhaps the only aspect of Catholicism I thought made sense was that forgiveness requires atonement. Nowhere in this statement is any regret for participating in MAGA's defamation strategy.
