A point that hasn’t received nearly as much attention as it should in the deextinctiom discourse: the lives of the animals involved.
They are selling you de-extinction but are creating genetically modified animals with some traits of an unrelated extinct species. And the description of how it was done--of planned C-sections, and removing the pups from their dog surrogate mother because she became "too attentive" makes me ill.
