I'd even buy Cyrus getting redeemed since at least he had an actual backstory and more interactions with the player overall in DPPt iirc. Lysandre wasn't given much to work with to begin with from what little I remember of XY.

Ohhh I progressed a little more in Arceus and the music in jubilife village is starting to sound a lot more like the jubilife city music in dppt! That's really sweet

A big example I think of with this is that Lucario is a great Pokemon but I don't feel like very many people actually used it in Gen 4 proper because you get the Riolu Egg way too late into DPPt and you had to hatch and raise friendship with an underleveled mon too late into the game

The misconception around Rotom being a legendary or mythical is so fascinating but honestly DPPt did not help themselves with it by giving it the legendary battle theme and special graphical effect when you clicked the tv

i've been REALLY in the mood to play a pokemon game but i have played gens 1-3 to death already and i played through soulsilver last year. kind of fell off my replay of bw (It's Fine I Guess) & i don't have easy access to anything past that. dare i revisit dppt for the first time in Too Many Years.
