Tonight is one of those times where he slips in her side door, entering the code under an early morning sky still dark, cloudy, the shattered moon's pieces illuminated by the prospect of the impending sun. But also the Tear above, a forever blaring guide light and reminder. Tucks his bike against the wall as the door behind snaps shut and he hears the several connected locks click. Quiet, he ascends the stairs, used to the low lights of her private areas, and the squeak of her old stairs. She'd left the TV on again, her bedroom door slightly ajar (can see her heavy tail hanging off the end of the bed, its tip touching the floor). Some channel that showed old movies on repeat. Glances at the screen as he sees the glimpse of a pre-arrival movie. No githyanki. No Dolls. No chaos in the skies just stars and serenity. What strangeness. A world that never existed for her either, a creature born because of the Arrival.

Orpheus. shards of lighting, shredded, sharp, bitter; the first hiss of rain somewhere you know; sea salt. is there a sea here on this plane can i swim with you, once more It stank like he'd rained from the sky in pieces to saturate whatever this new ground was beneath their feet, spans of it behind, ahead. What is below? What is there left above? He'd already tried to teleport, portal. At first, obliterating emptiness. Then the more he'd tried, pain. The psionic burns on his hands splitting open to bleed more. And he'd lick the weep of blood away with a rough tongue, stumbling as he was barrelled in the shoulder by another, desperate to be somewhere else. Weren't they all.

I appreciate every single bit of love Van (and by extension her boys) get. Her story is very githyanki centric, and she's a fat OC with a storyline that's full of dark themes so I appreciate it doubly.

I would love people to talk to me and interacted with anything Doll Parts-
The ground is soft beneath her hooves. Wet. She digs the edge of a hoof into the ground, watching the leaves contort, a blanket over the damp grass, to the mud soaked beneath. Smiles at the sensation. The coldness. She’d been out of the city before. Once, at least that she’d known of and remembered. With Orpheus that one time when she’d gone with him to visit the githzerai, and his father. Had helped them with some of their augments and cyberware. Tuned some chips. Had shared some of their own arcane-ware secrets, some clothing and a fur with her in trade for her help. They’d taken a portal then. And Vanquish remembered she couldn’t even see the city from where the githzerai were. Hundreds of spans away. The city was still here when she looked back. Pillars of colour and void. Of sparkle beneath tonight’s silver of the Tear’s blade. If she looked long enough, just a blur. A noise of colour to nothing. As if the Tear had wept. Shed a salted tear to the paltry ground below.
