Funnily enough though, it's not the first time bananas have interfered with British transport.

Shortly after WW2 a trainload of bananas broke down near Hatton Junction in Warwickshire and the cargo - several hundred tons of the fruity yellow peril - was unceremoniously shovelled into nearby bushes.

£7,780 for an annual season ticket from Didcot to the London Travelcard area doesn't represent value for money for my constituents.

Utter nonsense. The drive from Didcot to Cowley Rd is completely unaffected by the congestion charge gates.
