The good news is the peeing issue is likely just cystitis from stress and her surgical incision is also showing signs of infection so she's on antibiotics now and should be feeling less cranky and more comfy soon so it's not something to worry about.

That Jimmy Carr coming out in support of Glinner clip is only to be expected. However he comes across as so fucking desperately “ooh I went there” that it’s funnier watching him beg and plead to be seen as an edgelord rather a plastic foreheaded tax-dodging cunt. I’ve had funnier cystitis.

‘Morning Jude. Poor Jarvis. How do you determine that a cat has cystitis?
November 12, 2025 at 8:06 AM
Good morning. Zoom yoga this morning then FaceTime with a friend in Shrewsbury. Get my fire laid ready to light this evening, it just makes everything feel more cosy.
Little cat, Jarvis, couldn’t have his vaccine yesterday, he has a flare up of his cystitis. Back on his cystease and metacam.

Back to the vet with Hades who has another cystitis flare up 😣 he might need antibiotics so off we go soon…

Small packet of bicarbonate of soda wrapped in cellophane (bc cystitis) looks well dodgy. Lesson learnt!!

Awwwww. Cystitis is horrid.

Turns out B cat developed bout of stress-induced cystitis after this and he’s just very good at pretending to be calm.
Mr W accidentally let B cat out just before the fireworks started last night and I was v worried. He sauntered in after it was all over like it was just a normal evening but absolutely BRICKED it when I sneezed.
Nancy thinks my sneezes are more scary than fireworks

😂😂😂 reminds of a woman I used to work with. She had trouble with the word cystitis and ended up telling me about her very annoying syphilis!!!

Under‐Urine‐Adhered Supramolecular Hydrogel with Linearly Sustained Quercetin Release Facilitates Hemorrhagic Cystitis Healing via Inflammation Regulation
A supramolecular gelatin-based hydrogel adhesive was engineered for hemorrhagic cystitis management. It provides robust wet-tissue adhesion, rapid hemostasis, sustained quercetin release, effectively restoring the bladder barrier via anti-inflammatory and antioxidant actions. Abstract The clinical management of hemorrhagic cystitis remains challenging because of persistent inflammation and bladder mucosal barrier disruption. Although intravesical therapies, such as quercetin and hyaluronic acid (HA), show potential, their efficacy is limited by rapid urinary clearance. Hydrogels offer potential as sustained-release drug carriers and protective barriers, yet designing adhesive hydrogels with optimal wet tissue adhesion, controlled degradation, and regulation of anti-inflammation remains difficult. Here it is aimed to develop a supramolecular gelatin-based hydrogel adhesive (HADA/gelatin/Ac-β-CD/quercetin, HGCQ) that combines acrylated β-cyclodextrin as a dynamic crosslinker and hydrophobic drug carrier with dopamine-functionalized HA for enhanced tissue adhesion and antioxidant functionality. The HGCQ hydrogel exhibits controlled degradation in artificial urine with sustained quercetin release over 48 h, exceptional burst pressure tolerance of up to 18.8 kPa on the bladder, and rapid hemostatic capability with a clotting time of 15 s. Crucially, HGCQ demonstrates comprehensive therapeutic effects including pro-angiogenic potential, and broad-spectrum antimicrobial efficacy, potent reactive oxygen species scavenging with a clearance of 600 µ m H 2 O 2 , and anti-inflammatory activity mediated by nuculear factor kappa-B (NF-κB)/interleukin (IL)-17 pathways. In hemorrhagic cystitis models, HGCQ restores urothelial barrier function, promotes collagen III deposition, and reduces inflammation, making a significant advancement in managing this condition with potential applications in other wound healing scenarios.

oh they've said the interstitial cystitis words huh. I'm sorry. there is a lot of hope, I was diagnosed in 2020.

This morning, I gonna go to the vet again to get some medicine for the cystitis. Before Komaru's cystitis was completely cured, Kana's cystitis had returned. It's feeling like we were lost in a maze with no way out.

I sometimes flirt with the contrarian myself to wonder whether ID as a specialty issue should even exist- irritated to see medicine teams consult for infectious syndrome that should be managed by the primary team ( cystitis, cellulitis etc) . Seems like disincentivizing common sense mgmt

Most women colloquially call cystitis (a bladder infection) a “UTI” and reserve “pyelonephritis” for a kidney infection.

Oki has to have hydrolysed protein and Steve has stuff for her bladder to stop cystitis. I really should remove them (not that they would find homes) because the kids need feeding, and to see dentists, my teeth are falling apart, how can I justify spending all my cash on cats? But how can I not.

Hades had another bout of cystitis when he used the tray during the early hours… it only seems to happen after he goes this time, before it used to be on and off for days. Good thing it’s not constant i guess. He’s also taking his medicine without issues so that’s helpful 🤗
