I have some extremely heavy cardstock 350gsm. I had trouble cutting it and someone pointed out that there is a material setting called:
Cardstock (for intricate cuts)
This setting will automatically make your cut TWICE without having to reload your mat.

I don’t think Cricut’s scoring tool scores deeply enough into paper. Another maker suggested that I double up my score lines, one layer on top of another so that it will be score twice. This was the best hack! It really works.

I was about to give up (the sensor kept failing 😩)… until I found this trick: 👉 cover the sensor marks with matte clear tape. I used painter’s tape, and now it cuts flawlessly every single time. 🔥

The Cricut can be daunting to learn so I’m putting a few things I learned along the way that helped to keep me moving forward. I’m not an expert, just another user trying to keep going. I work with paper, for the most part.
