Planning #forskarfredag talks for #lånaenforskare week! I’ll be giving talks (in person and zoom) at 10 different schools in Sweden about life as a researcher at @CpgSthlm, collecting monkey 💩 with @Field_Projects, and why DNA is so cool! 🧬
So chuffed to be part of this. https://t.co/JeridrQ9N3

Another fantastic lecture by a fellow PhD student at @CpgSthlm, this time @IsaFeinauer talked to us about different genetic data types in #ancientDNA. Loved the explanation on why mitochondrial, Y-chromosome and nuclear data can show different stories. So impressed! https://t.co/6m0GQQUIdB

Setting off to the Swedish mountains for ten days as a fieldwork volunteer with the amazing @fjllrvsprjkt. Hopefully will also be collecting some eDNA samples to explore their use for wildlife monitoring with the @T_vd_Valk group at @CpgSthlm as part of my PhD.

great mammoth talk by @CpgSthlm 's own Dr. @MariDehasque at the #SMBE satellite meeting for genetics in small populations.

Great talks both plenary and during breaks so far! 🧬 🦣

Congratulations @alexgilardet for a great lecture on how #aDNA can tell us about populations going through climatic change and how we can go from a single genome to knowing past population sizes! All with great examples - many from past and current research at @CpgSthlm 🦣 https://t.co/mlIPc2vhHG

And of course, great work by Nicolas Dussex at the @CpgSthlm in Stockholm, who led the genetics work (and avoided the mud and bugs!).

New paper 🧵

A team co-led by #cpgsthlm 's researcher @jcchacond.bsky.social has analysed DNA from a large number of mammoths across a million-year timescale 🦣🧬

The findings include the discovery and analysis of the oldest known woolly #mammoth in North America!
