I saw an interview with, if I'm remembering right, Chris Seavor, the game's project lead. He said that Conker never feels stale, because it's constantly throwing new ideas at you.
And to an extent, I agree, but it also makes the game feel, I don't know, messy?

It starts well, and it's got some neat ideas, but by the end I think it falls off hard.
The movement controls are fine, for the most part, though I do wish Conker would stop on a dime. He slides forward a bit when he stops running, and early on it can get kind of annoying. By the end I wasn't

No idea if this is due to the eternal Cost of Living Crisis(tm) but it wouldn't be at all surprising. This is the 4th Christmas in a line that parents are saying they can't get their kids any gifts apart from a used conker. Just tax the bastard wealthy and sort this shit out.

there was beethoven, prokofiev, dvorak and wieniawski. the pieces were intense, i enjoyed them! on the bus post-performance, the squeaks of the vehicle sounded like a violin, and i was glad to hear them in that way

I remember when I first played Halo 2. I started playing Conker: Live & Reloaded but swapped to Halo 2 and I did my first ever all nighter playing Halo. The flood missions scared me but it was one of the best video game experiences I ever had.
HALO 2 officially launched 21 years ago today, November 9th, 2004.
I was so excited for HALO 2. I bought the soundtrack on CD and jammed out to "Blow Me Away" by Breaking Benjamin on my way to the midnight launch to pick up my copy.
Years of LAN parties with friends would follow. Great memories.
