yeah. like nix the language sucks more than it could, but fundamentally you are doing something difficult and complex and statically specifying and manifesting that config in a reliable, idempotent way is just gonna be hard.

No no you don't have in configured properly, you need to change the default scale from pentatoic to chromatic in the config files.

Yes, it's at the top level. You can also use the pnpm cli to set config options
globally in your pnpm rc file:
pnpm config set --global trustPolicy no-downgrade
locally in your project:
pnpm config set --location=project trustPolicy no-downgrade
(unfortunately this removes comments)

yeah quickshell is great and very powerful. you can replace pretty much every generic ui package (bars, widgets, wallpaper, etc) with a solid quickshell config. can be kinda tedious but 🤷♀️

if you enjoy some good old fashioned "you are definitely using the wrong programing language" code, here's UTF-8 encoding in pure VCL. which is essentially supposed to be a http config language. i am especially pleased with this

One more config tested. Setting up the Spectrum Next and my Macbook on my iPhone hotspot. I can ping the Next and NextSync works just fine. Cool!
