Colorado Avalanche: 11-1-5, points leader in the NHL
Denver Nuggets: 8-2, 3 seed
Denver Broncos: 8-2, 2 seed
Colorado Rockies: New president of baseball operations isn't named Monfort, seems marginally competent

Good times for Mile High sports fans.

I’ll wait to see who Mamdani and his movement endorse for Nadler’s seat. There are some highly committed and competent experienced & reliable fighters in the State Assembly and Senate—and City Council—who’d do better than a rich kid out of the blue.

Imagine being so incompetent and so far up the fossil fuel industry’s a** you totally handicap your one moment to bring a competent EV to market for an H2 packaging debacle.

Par for the course for the biggest anti-EV and pro maga company. 🤮

I am very impressed with Zohran, he is a very competent leader.

Hegseth and his itty-bitty-teeny-pickled weenie just cannot live with the notion that a woman or a person of color is better than him, more intelligent, more competent, more of everything. Because he is an empty vessel given an honor and a mission he is wholly unable and unfit to fulfill.
The first and last lines of Joni Ernst’s legacy as a human on earth will be that she was instrumental in the confirmation of the Sec of Defense most hostile to women serving in military, and she knew that when she voted for him.

Has Jeffries turned over a new leaf? Has he finally hired a competent messaging team?

A first sergeant in my unit, who was considered an extremely competent soldier, accidentally shot his M-4 rifle inside a Blackhawk helicopter. The first sergeant lost his rank and was booted from the Rangers.

She’s more competent than plenty of other Captains in that community, that’s why she was chosen. She probably pumped out more pull ups than Hegseth could. And the weak man he is didn’t like it.

One might say Joe Manchin is merely competent

I struggle to believe that any files released from the ever capable and competent Pam Bondi DOJ, or the crucible of excellence that is the Keystone Kash FBI will hold any semblance of legitimacy. I want to believe that there will be accountability, but at this point it's obvious that isn't happening

Institutions as large as the NHS can never be perfect. Keeping in mind, though, that undermining the trust in public institutions is a strategy employed by anti-democratic forces to divide ppl, it seems very much advisable to be specific about any criticism and look at what competent, experienced

But trading incubation is never covered. You can get through 20, 50 or more repeats and be competent, but not yet capable of doing it every single time. This is where most give up.

It's a big reason why even those with the right knowledge, framework and playbook of proven trades never make it.

I have sat in operational-planning meetings with these people (and a whole lot of senior joint-agency people) and been the well-below the next-lowest-ranked person in the room. And all it takes is that person to say, "OK, and what comes next?" to break the spell that they're in any way competent.
November 12, 2025 at 4:27 AM
Not to them. They feel simply because they are white and have rich makes them competent

I do know some extremely competent school principals and he is a long way off from them.

Already a sign that he may not be the world's most competent air traveler.
November 12, 2025 at 4:15 AM
Yeah of COURSE the last Admin didn't see 85 near misses and crashes. Because Biden actually had competent people who knew wtf they were doing and how to do it in charge, ya fucking idiot.
Sean Duffy: "You all saw with the DCA air crash -- the last administration didn't see the 85 near misses" (Trump was in office when that happened)

Let’s bend a little space&time:Trump’s 1st term went thru a lot of QUALIFIED & COMPETENT staff as Trump bucked & kicked against the guardrails.2nd term no guardrails &Trump selects staff of INEXPERIENCED, AMATEURS CORRUPT SYCOPHANTS!U Republicans let this all happen. Acquitted him of 2 impeachments

Then again...if it does come down to the civil war that Trump seems to be trying to get, having so many highly competent former military people available can only be good news for those attempting to preserve the Constitutional order.

Most competent advisors shy away from fascism.
November 12, 2025 at 3:57 AM
OMG. What a demented nutcase…He’s designing toilets, signs, ballrooms, arches, when what we actually need is a competent leader. Make. It. Stop.

Another one to add to the list of people who need to be prosecuted once the country has competent leadership again.

I think the Spirit have the cap room to keep both away from other NWSL teams pretty easily - based on rumored salaries, etc. - but it’ll be hard to keep both, Tara, and Trin as well as rostering a competent squad.

A lot will become more clear once Trin makes her decision.
Croix and Hal lifetime contracts for the Washington Spirit ASAP please and thank you they are not allowed to go anywhere

I really am curious about the cultural implications of why, exactly, the entire tv/movie premise of 'there is a group of people who are expertly competent in their field and routinely save the world but have to do so in secret cos knowing the truth would put people in danger' has just disappeared...
